Townline AI (“the Service”) is a civic intelligence platform designed for property owners in participating communities. The Service aggregates publicly available municipal records, zoning codes, meeting transcripts, and permit filings into a searchable interface with AI-powered analysis tools.

2. Account Terms

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. Authentication is handled via magic link or supported OAuth providers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Townline AI is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

3. Subscription & Billing

Townline AI offers tiered subscription plans (Free, Basic, and Pro) with varying levels of feature access. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit municipal data obtained through the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to extract data from the Service at scale.
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or access controls.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Disclaimers

The information provided through Townline AI is for informational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, architectural, or planning advice. While we strive for accuracy by sourcing directly from official municipal records, Townline AI does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information presented.

Townline AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to your local town government or any municipal governing body. AI-generated summaries and analysis may contain errors and should be verified against original source documents.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Townline AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to decisions made based on information provided by the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Mateo County, California.
